Shipping
We
strive to have all items in stock and ready to ship. Orders generally
go out the same business day they are ordered. Orders received late in
the day will go out the following day. Selected items will be shipped
directly from the manufacturer. All such items are clearly marked on
their page, including shipping schedule and rates.
We still like to offer Free Shipping. If you
would like to receive Free Shipping coupons, please sign up
for our Newsletter.
Effective July 1, 2002.
We ship orders through the United States Postal Service's Priority
Mail. On June 30, 2002 the USPS changed their rates. In addition to raising rates,
zone fees now apply. The Zone Map and Zone Charges are a reflection of
this change.
In an attempt to make our shipping rates fair to all
our customers, we have created the following rate
schedule. You may estimate your shipping charges based on the chart
below. We will confirm the shipping charge by email.

No Peanuts
At Inventive Parent, we
do not fill your shipping boxes with peanuts or other fillers. Why?
- Our products are already packaged to withstand any
hardship that transit could cause. We've never had a product
damaged, and do not anticipate that we will.
- We're parents too, with little kids and pets
running around--who needs more of those Styrofoam peanuts all over the
house, sticking to everything...in your child's mouth...bring out
the vacuum cleaner...no thanks.
- We save money by not adding packing material to
your orders, and pass this savings on to you.
- We do not want to add more solid waste to the
world.

Our Prices
We strive to keep our prices as fair as possible. Inventive Parent is not a discounter, but we always offer you fair prices as
suggested by the parents who manufacturer our products. We keep
our overhead low and strive to cut costs while boosting customer service.
When our manufacturers are able to lower their prices to us, we pass the
savings on to you.
If you would like to be notified of monthly specials,
receive special discounts and Free Shipping coupons, or have the opportunity to
donate a portion of
your purchase price to charities, please sign up
for our Newsletter.
Return Policy
We want you to be happy. We will refund your
money on any return made within 30 days, assuming that the product is in
salable condition. We can not refund shipping costs.
If a product proves
defective under normal conditions, we will gladly replace it for one year
after your purchase.
Items that are returned with damaged packaging or
that appears to have been used is subject to a 20% restocking fee.
We will resell returned products that are in good
working order and presentable, but in opened packages, through our Basement
page. You can be notified of what we have available through our
monthly Newsletter.
